I'm experiencing the same issue with no fields being available in intellisense until the field has been added, i.e.,

var myOptions = new g.MapOptions();
// no intellisense for myOptions, yet.

myOptions.zoom = 16;
// intellisense for myOptions.zoom, only.

myOptions.center = latlng;
// intellisense for myOptions.zoom and center.

Other than that, great work!

I'm seeing the intellisense working for everything except fields. For example, for the Map class, I can see intellisense for the "panTo" function but not the "controls" field (or any other field).

Hi,

I managed to have intellisense working not actually using scripts/google-maps-3-vs-1-0.js in the script but scripts/google-maps-3-vs-1-0-vsdoc.js. However it appears that I don't have any google map loading on my page afterward.

I put this script after the google one as specified.

Otherwise if I don't use the script for intellisense I manage to have the google map using the classic way.

Any suggestion or advise would be appreciated.

here is my code:

var opts = new google.maps.MapOptions();

opts.zoom = 11;

opts.center = google.maps.LatLng(48.856358, 2.335);

opts.scrollwheel = true;

opts.mapTypeId = google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP;

opts.mapTypeControlOptions.position = google.maps.ControlPosition.TOP_RIGHT;

opts.mapTypeControlOptions.style = google.maps.MapTypeControlStyle.DROPDOWN_MENU;

Does anyone know if there is a way to get Intellisense to work for Google Earth?

The javascript src key that google provides that allows google earth to work in Internet Explorer does not enable the intellisense.

I have seen a solution for a similar problem for Google Maps at http://gmapvsdoc.codeplex.com/ but nothing for Google Earth.

If your javascript has any errors, it will break all intellisense. Be sure to keep an eye on the warnings in error list.

if you add the files in the download to a new project, do you get intellisense? They are provided as a working example of how to use the files.

Hello there,

I downloaded the zip file, and placed the two main .js files into my websites /scripts folder. Also in that folder is a standalone .js file where I am working with Google Maps API 3.

I have added the reference at the top of my .js:

/// <reference path="google-maps-3-vs-1-0.js" />

Is there anything else I need to do? I'm not seeing any intellisense pop up as I type. :(

Google Maps API 3 Visual Studio Intellisense Helper

google-maps-3-vs-1-0 provides Visual Studio intellisense in-line api documentation and code completion for Google Maps API V3.

Also included are fully documented object literal constructors to mitigate hard to find bugs related to object literal construction. see google-maps-3-vs-1-0.js for details.

Quick Start:

Place the files google-maps-3-vs-1-0.js and google-maps-3-vs-1-0-vsdoc.js in the same directory.

Add a script tag referencing google-maps-3-vs-1-0.js AFTER the google maps 3 api script tag.
